Visit to the Environmental center of Maronia to participate in the project “I recycle, but do I recycle right?”

As part of the educational program << recycle, but recycle properly >> students Monday around 4th Gymnasium of Komotini visited the CEE Maroneia to learn and become aware of the contribution of recycling to protect the environment.
   Students through a rich audiovisual material initially informed about the actions of the CEE and then the guide pointed out the importance of recycling in modern society, where we live. Reducing the volume of waste and energy saving are the main reasons that make the recycling necessary.
    The second phase of the program included a more experiential approach. By using recyclable materials students built ornaments demonstrating thereby the possibility of reuse. Followed activities in playful form for understanding of human interdependence and interaction with the plant and animal world and how anthropogenic interference catalyze the chain of nature.
    Such visits and initiatives undoubtedly contribute to the development of ecological consciousness of students and raising awareness on environmental issues.
