Learning/Teaching/Training Meeting in Greece

MINUTE OF THE MEETING

      The first learning/teaching/training meeting was held in Greece in the period 07-11 March 2016.

In the meeting all partner institutions participated, as following:

Romania: 2 teachers and 7 students

Finland: 3 teachers and 5 students

Malta: 2 teachers and 6 students

Italy: 2 teachers and 6 students

Teachers and students from the hosting institution

The objectives of the meeting were:

• Carrying out workshops for recycling paper

• Good practice exchange among partners in terms of environmental protection

• Professional exchange among teachers

• Planning of the second learning/teaching/training meeting in Malta

      The workshops among students were very well organized by the hosting institution. There were made teams with members from all partner students, which helped them interact, developing thus their communication skills in English and acquiring new basic vocabulary in their partners’ languages.

Partners from Greece organized two documentation visits: one in Alexadroupolis, at  the Center for sorting recycling materials and the other one in Xanthi, at Aluminiun Recycling Art Center “House of Shadows”, where students and teachers were offered good examples of recycling materials.

Students were hosted in families, helping them understand better Greek way of living, their culture and traditions.

  Besides these activities, the hosting institution organized warm welcome activities, during which each partner team presented their country / region / town / school and other activities meant to get students and teachers together, helping them to know each other better.

   At the end of the meeting, teachers and students received certificates of participation in the meeting and the students who were at least 15 years old received Europass certificates, where they wrote what skills and competences they acquired during the workshops.
